In June of this year Eastern Services, the parent company of Raleigh Paving acquired Pave South. Pave South is located in Salisbury, NC which is along the I-85 corridor about half way between Charlotte and the Triad. While in general acquisitions are slow and take months or years before the acquired companies feel the impact of the new owners, the acquisition of Pave South and the merging of the two operations has happened almost at light speed. In the last month we have completed in this market almost a quarter of what Pave South did all last year. Crews have been merged, resources have been shifted and what was once a struggling operation due to the economy is now a rapidly growing operation full of all sorts of potential. Within weeks of the takeover, the administration was shifted to Buffalo and the estimating was moved to Raleigh which left Pave South in a good position to focus on simply getting work done. The results have been great. The last month was Pave South's best month ever completing several projects including:

Installation of a running track at E. Lincoln H.S. in Denver, NC

Over 100,000 s.f. of new storage pads at Magna in Salisbury

And an 8 court tennis court battery in Elkin, NC.
Not to mention all the sealcoating and repair jobs done along with these 3 major projects.
We are very pleased with the responses that we are getting from our customers who are impressed with our quick response time, attention to detail and the high quality of the work. A large part of the credit goes to the Pave South crews who have adapted to our systems quickly and have worked well with all the Raleigh crews to get the work done.
